Driver let me tell you a secret
A secret in the shape of a song
Heard something move in the dark outside
I lay awake hardly breathing
shaking all night long
It came out of the southern sky
It drove into our humble town
We lay our hands upon its side
My sister she laid her body down

She was gone gone gone
She was gone gone gone

I was born 20 miles from here
I've never seen anything else
But that night I saw tall buildings made of glass
And a million other pictures, her holy face

And she was gone gone gone
She was gone gone gone
She was gone gone gone
Suntrapper took her away

A sparrow flew against the pane of glass
People came running all around
Wind blew from all directions
Ground opened up and the trees came down
I pulled the car to the side of the road
Checked all the directions on a tourist map
Overhead 747 jet engines
Tore the roof off my one-room weatherboard shack

And she was gone gone gone
She was gone gone gone
She was gone gone gone
Suntrapper took her away
