Wish to see (you) no more

I've been listening to the re-issued In The Pines, and have been thoroughly blown away by "Wish to See You No More." Lyrically, though simple, it is one of David's many masterpieces. It builds on itself, each new verse adding to the themes that were being used in the previous one. From swimming to compass to ship adrift, it all plays off itself. The haunting double voice, and the heavy drums give it this air of horror. All and all it is a truly fantastic track, I am curious about why it got overlooked for both ITP and BSD.

What do the rest of you think?

I also really like this song, both the vocal and finger click demo and the In The Pines out-take. I guess David was never happy enough with it to include it on either album. Graham, can you add anymore info? Was it ever played live?
