And slip some lemon slices, butter and even a bit of stuffing under the skin of the chicken, between the skin and the meat. Massage olive oil and butter into the chicken's skin, it will thank you for it and then rub with salt, it might not thank you for this. Put it in a very hot oven for 20 minutes and it will be nicely browned then turn it down a bit for the rest of the cooking.

Actually, I'm just the same. I've only ever stuffed one Christmas chicken myself, which, fortunately, was a big success. However, I do seem to like eating the stuffing more than most people so I'm an 'expert' in that sense.

A name which hasn't been suggested so far is The Black Swans. That's just as well as the name is already taken: www.myspace.com/theblackswans.

Something I forgot to mention earlier on: intrigued by Urpal's suggestion, I bought The Black Swans 2004 album Who Will Walk in the Darkness With You? And guess what: as Resident Family Party DJ, I had the whole family listen to it while eating the mentioned Christmas turkey. Have a nice meal! Cheesy

The less fancy delivery of these two song brings their substance to the fore and shows, at least if my ears are anything to go by, that the supposed drop in song quality is largely myth and the difficulty some listeners find in getting a handle due to the glitzy production and variation from Triffheadspectations of the final studio master. Brilliant.

The Triffheadspectations: now that's brilliant too, Urpal! Wink

I'd love to be in the cover band if it gets started.
I'll put a wig on if needed, a bold Alsy just would not work.
Drums is a good start.
Anybody else keen ?  Wink

Based on the number of views this topic is almost the most popular on these forums. One could argue that this makes perfect sense: wouldn't we all like to be part of a Triffids cover band!

Hmm. I reckon most of those views are yours, Lonesome, like a dog sniffing it's own shit. Wink

I try to have a look every two barking hours or so. Thanks for your analysis and your vote, Gazza! Wink
