Does anybody have or know where to get anything relating to the show on October 13th 1984 at London School Of Economics ie ticket stubs, audience recording, pictures, reviews? It was supporting The Monochrome Set. We have a desk tape of this historic show and it's going to be included in the rarities collection that's currently being compiled as it proved to be a crucial show - you can really hear the audience being won over as the show moves along. Dave's confidence rises and the band are playing incredibly well. Have a look around and let me know what you can unearth.

And it's the gig David Cavanagh wrote about in Hell Of A Summer.

Graham, have you tried going via the Monochrome Set? They are likely to have photos or stubs or details or posters?
The Set's website is here:
http://www.themonochromeset.co.uk/
It says:
"This can never be a complete representation or history of The Monochrome Set, as there are simply too many photos, stories, etc., for a web site."
The gig is listed on the 1984 page
You can contact Bid through
http://www.myspace.com/themonochromeset
Anyway - worth a shot

I don't have any stuff for the Monochrome Set gig but I was wondering what other things you have planned for the "Rarities"?
There must be alot of stuff out there just gathering dust in peoples cupboards!
I have a desk tape from the Triffids at Adrians in ?1980/1. I haven't got round to converting it from cassette to FLAC or MP3 files.
There are a couple of websites that suggest they have lots of live recordings. You probably are already aware of them:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/peter.herron/triffids.htm#MouthToMouth
http://www.innercitysound.com.au/Triffids.html
I am a little unsure why these people don't make thie collections more widely available.
Has any body else got any hidden gems??
