I haven't time to listen to your recommendations immediately, winston, but have found some archived stuff on the RTRFM website likely to be of interest to forum members:

In bed with Evil!

Taking the back Alley

Memories of Matthew Delahunty

Those bylines are in no particular order, I should hasten to add Grin

I really should consider applying for a job on the staff of The Sun newspaper.

Those interviews were all interesting despite my less than flattering advertising of them.

I didn't know of Matt De la Hunty's connections with the band - particularly with Marty through The Nobodies and Rob in terms of Tall Tales and True. I didn't even realise Rob had had a post-Triffids music career before going into teaching.

I also liked Matt's cover of Day Of My Ascension - a song I don't recall having heard a cover of before and it served as a reminder of what a damn fine song it is too. Good strong voice and nice guitar arrangement I thought.

Interested at the Nick Mainsbridge production of Tall Tales' mini LP before he went to work on Treeless Plain. Anyone familiar with Tall Tales' stuff? The Wiki entry indicates Rob was involved in some of their stuff and Dave contributed vocals to one of their songs.

There is a really good cover by Victor Krummenacher (Camper van Beethoven, Cracker) on his sans soleil album, which can also be found here : http://triffidsbeach.blogspot.com/2007/11/day-of-my-ascension.html
