Hey all, to celebrate Dave's 47th birthday today, 17 February, you can download an mp3 copy of Rob Snarski and Chris Abraham's version of 'This one eats souls' from the 'it's raining pleasure' soundtrack.
It will be available on www.itsrainingpleasure.com for the next week.

Happy birthday Dave.

It's not exactly obvious where it's stashed, Steven – even after adding the missing 'a' to the link.

Many thanks for that stevenl.  I went to ONE McComb Birthday party- it was at "The Cliffe" and it was on the occasion of Dave's 21st.  I enjoyed it immensely as I had been a bit "agoraphobic" that year and it may have even been my first "nite out" (I had moved back to my folks house at the time) in 1983...Shame on me tho'- I didn't bring a present. Dave didn't seem to mind, -what a gracious host he could be.

PS- Now I think of it- it was the year of "Bad Fire/Black/Ash Wednesday" in Victoria , circa Feb '83- funny how those things go...

I'll say.

she's a 10am three coffees before she starts sort of girl, give it a bit.

The coffee obviously did the trick. Cheers Steven.

Probably about time for me to issue another apology for never quite getting round to finishing off my polish up on the audience recording from the Sydney show. All sort of things went wrong, and then some more.

Hope to get back to it in a few weeks, unless there's going to be a CD of the film or anything like that…

Thanks for the download of "This One Eats Souls", Steven. Excellent rendition of a great song. An appropriate choice.

Happy birthday to Dave.

Happy birthday to David and happy memories to all involved. (Feeling extra nervous for the hometown-Perth shows?)

Any recollections of birthday presents for (or from) David? It may have been difficult at times to get him (being alike a musical/literary bulimic - with opinions!…) something suitable or surprising.

Those DMcC compilation tapes still need a close investigation topic of their own.
So they got digitized for some kind of after PIAF party… What’s their groove and jive factor? cause the eternal question may be “What if somebody wants to dance?”

(a question also recurrently uttered by this fellow who lustered many a fancy-dress ball)

And thank you Steven for the download.

Thanks for these. Off to i-tunes anyone?

The compilations are interesting in that many of the songs are now timeless classics whilst others are contemperaneous and of their era. Fills me with a strange HOTBOTN..........
