Hi all,

It is absolutely breaking my heart to say this, but it seems I need to sell my tickets to all three Triffids shows during the Perth International Arts Centre.  Sad

For some reason I thought the shows were mid-week, ie. 24th Feb. so I've gone ahead and booked a work trip to Melbourne.  I've just realised that its the same weekend as the shows, and I don't think I can change this trip now due to some commitments over there.  I can't even fly home early on the Sunday night to make the final show in time, and I've even thought of flying over to Melb to see the show on the 29th - but that alone would be the cost of the Perth tix!

So, I'm really really sad right now  Cry   Cry

Does anyone know if these shows are going to be a "once in a lifetime", will the band be doing more performances in future together?  Basically, will I have another chance - at least one day, some time, some where?Huh

If anyone here is looking for tickets to the Perth shows, I have 2 tix for each of the 3 performances.  PM if you're interested.

... time to get out the records and lament ...

Cheers,
~a sad Kate

A sad tale indeed. We'll most likely play again but not in Perth for quite a while, not anywhere for quite a while actually.

Any good excuses? Not that Im suggesting that you need any. Id just prefer it if you did. Have a good reason for being unavailable I mean. Limited availability is fine.

I didn't quantify "quite a while". In comparison with a regular, existing and functioning contemporary band we will be absent for quite a while. End of the year or early next? Nothing in place at present, concentrating on what we are about to do.

You make quite a while sound like quite soon...at least when I think how the time between last christmas & the one before seemed about 10 minutes.

Thanks for replying guys, It's good to know that you will play again glee, even if it isn't for 'quite a while' Smiley  As long as it isn't never!

I'm actually thinking whether I make the trip to see the show in Melb next Thursday, but I'd need to sell my tix first, and I'm not sure if its the right thing to do.  Surprisingly my hubby's actually encourage me to spend the money and just do it!

It will be different to the Perth shows as it's indoors, quite salubrious in fact. When Rob McComb and I went to check out stage yesterday, Delta Goodrem was soundchecking but the impression we got of stage and surroundings even in the brief time before we were ushered out lest we witness Ms Goodrem's check, was  positive. Big, big stage that will be a challenge to fill with equipment but we'll do our best. Peter Mackay, longtime lighting person with us here and os will be looking after the visuals. It will look and sound great.
Looking forward to Perth too of course - outdoors near the Swan seems to be more than appropriate in the hometown.

That is such a laugh!  How dare you 'enjoy' Delta's singing for free Wink
