Estuary Bed
« on: November 28, 2008, 11:00:48 AM »
These always get me - some dark, lovely, sentiment of broken love and the way that Dave sings it with the cool spanish-y vibe....

I see you still - I know not rest
Silt returns along the passage of flesh

I hear your voice
I taste the salt
I bear the stain
it won't wash off
I hold you not
but I see you still
What use eyesight if I should melt?
What use memory covered in estuary silt?

I know your shape
Our limbs entwined
I know your name - remember mine
remember...

Breathtaking.

hi tamara. Excellent choice. Without checking I thought it was "it" rather than "I " that could melt but what you hear sounds as apt if not apter  ;D

Hello, tamara d!

There's surely a lot about that impeccable song on the forum if you look around a bit. One thread is here:

Yes, it's 4th so far, halfway, which means it could very well end up in the top-10 when we reach the end.
You think of everything, my dear, but you do not think of me

Thanks for the words all!
