... at how long it's taken me to discover this website/forum...

I "got into" the Triffids in the 80's, bought all the albums I could find, was lucky enough to see them live once (circa 1988'ish Town and Country Club, London, after the release of Black Swan).

So why why why has it taken me so long to find this place...

Are them many other "wingein poms" out there or are you all aussies?  Wink

Without wishing to sound too Aquinian, there's plenty of hell out there to work your way through before you get here, stonesurfer. The important thing is that you found this small oasis of relative calm. Welcome, and thanks for the news story - it certainly had more peaks than troughs Grin
