Calenture is indeed a double CD and the track listing is as follows.
Normal CD track list remastered and, while not as quantum a leap as in the case of BSD, still an appreciable improvement in detail and sound quality. There follows a gap to siginfy the end of the album proper then -
  • Baby Can I Walk You Home
  • Region Unknown
  • Love The Fever
  • Bad News Always Reminds Me Of You
  • Everything You Touch Turns To Time
I know there were some complaints about including bonus tracks on album proper disc with BSD but this is the most logical way to do it and all you need to do is hit stop if you don't want your Calenture moment to be shattered.
Disc two is a mythical Calenture assembled from rehearsal demos and studio demos. We had no full and decent versions of Holy Water, Unmade Love or Calenture so we've included in their place some unreleased songs - Alsy's song There Must Be A Curse On Me, and Burned these two recorded in Perth in April '86. In the place of Calenture (though not occupying the same place in the running order) is something I've called Calentura. It's a recording of Dave at the piano in a friend's house. It's a very lovely short piece of music and I put it at the end of the disc so Dave has the last say.
So disc 2
  • Bury Me Deep
  • Kelly's Blues
  • A Trick Of The Light
  • Hometown Farewell Kiss
  • There Must Be A Curse On Me
  • Open For You
  • Burned
  • Blinder By The Hour
  • Vagabond Holes
  • Jerdacuttup Man
  • Save What You Can
  • Calentura

Good things come to those who wait – finally get to fill in all those gaps left by not buying many singles. No room for Good Morning, Good Morning?

What you say about Calentura seems to suggest that it's significantly different to Calenture – is that right? Always wondered who played the album track – the credits on the existing artwork don't give too many hints, but I've assumed it wasn't Jill.

It's actually Adam and Dave playing a duet. Good Morning Good Morning was considered but didn't seem to really fit this collection so it will mosy likely be part of some future rarities collection...

The idea of a mirrored Calenture sounds great. Where were the demos recorded?

Does Calentura have a latin groove?

Obviously it'd be better if the original artefact and the extras were not conjoined, but it hardly seems a major cause for complaint - and you can comfort yourself that you're at least doing your bit for the environment Smiley. The extended pause does the job of creating enough separation. It could be longer I suppose (like the gaps you sometimes get before hidden tracks at the end of an album only less so), unless space etc doesn't allow.

I'm really pining for Calenture. In fact you could say I am IN the pines in anticipation of Calenture's release.

Also, I'm really in a fever about In The Pines. In fact, you could say I am in such a hot delirium, that I have a calenture for the In The Pines release.

Finished stock of Calenture - just hit our warehouse yesterday evening.
I'll send some down to you Glee.
It looks "smashing".

Am awaiting In The Pines stock - I'll send it all down together.

Word covermount on its way March issue - out start of Feb.
The folks that wrongly ran the reviews have all committed to re run reviews but for the full reissue editions - only waiting on Uncut to confirm this - but the editorial team is in flux there.
Some Steve Keene paintings as prizes will be flying around - majority of them offered out from within Belge by the looks of the requests.
Look out for the words and fluff coming in the NME for The Triffids and the Classic Albums section.
We've chosen to design the sleeve O cards "portrait" as opposed to the traditional "landscape" - hope being to catch the eye in the record racks ( all the Jpop and Kpop artists in Asia do this and was a source of inspiration for the experiment in alternative racking finesse )

And other stuff, that fingers crossed, will emerge as we go along.

What a great band the Triffids are.

Best to All, Happy Holidays.

That all sounds good - I don't understand the sleeve O display gubbins but if it looks as attention grabbing as it sounds it must be fine.

Happy holidays to you, John. It is a far, far better thing that you've done now than has been done before, that's for sure. Enjoy those bottles of plonk and don't let your mum get too skunked Grin

Thanks bdroop, and thanks and happy holidays to you all.
I'm off to Quensland in a few days for a few days, but will be in touch. May be catching up with a certain ex cricketer tomorrow.
