As for your question: I did like "Calenture" when I first heard it, but I have to say that in a way I prefer the versions on disc 2. I always liked the raw, organic sound of The Triffids live (mind you, I only saw them live 3 times living in Finland) to the albums - even though I always loved them as well. Strangely enough, my personal favourite of the reissues is "In the Pines" in the sense that it brings this organic experience even more tangible, as it were. Whenever I have to describe The Triffids to newbies i make alt-country my reference point while making sure that it's way more than that.
